Mrs. Teresa Wells

Teresa Jones Wells left us suddenly on July 15, 2025 in Carthage, Texas. Teresa was born on July 31, 1962 in Houston, Texas to Gerald and Jessie Jones. Teresa graduated from Mount Carmel High School in 1981. She worked as a teacher/coach at South Shaver Baptist School & caregiver at Cathy’s Candyland Daycare. Teresa is preceded in death by her father Gerald Jones and her sister Joyce Gillum. She is survived by her mother Jessie Jones, her husband Sam Houston Wells of 43 years, her 4 children, Samantha King and her husband Bobby of Needville, Texas, Travis Wells and his wife Ashley of Henderson, Texas, Sunny Stryk and her husband Travis of Linden, Texas, Tessa Barker and her husband Brad of Carthage, Texas, her younger brother Carlton Jones and his wife Tina of Houston, Texas. She was grandmother “MaMa T” to: Keely, Braelon, Aaron, Ashton, Deason, Adam, Kodi, Kaiden, Abigail, Skyler, Levi, Kaci, Morgan, Kolten, Annabelle, Reagan and Whitney. Sam met his love, Teresa, at the age of 9. They went through their school years as acquaintances and later friends. On Teresa’s graduation day, Sam showed up with a necklace for her. From that day forward their relationship bloomed, and Sam proposed to Teresa that same summer. Three months later they married on October 3, 1981 and started their beautiful marriage and family. Teresa held a lot of titles in her 62 years on earth: daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother but her most important role in life always will be a child of God, loved and forgiven by our Savior Jesus Christ. Funeral services for Mrs. Wells will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Mt. Enterprise. Interment will follow at Welch Cemetery under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM on Monday, July 21, at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Wells will be available for viewing from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. Pallbearers for the service will be Travis Wells, Bobby King, Travis Stryk, Brad Barker, Jesse Gillum and Braelon King. Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron, Ashton, Deason, Adam, Kaiden, Levi, and Kolten. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Landmark Missionary Baptist Church at P.O.
