Mrs. Sharron Baker

Sharron Anne Baker, 72, peacefully passed away Sunday, October 4th, 2015, after a courageous battle with an extended illness. Sharron was born on October 22nd, 1942, in Henderson, Texas, the daughter of Bernice and Bradie Mae Alexander. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Thomas Baker of Henderson; five children, Kelvin Baker & wife Julie of Villa Park, CA; Michael Baker & wife Nelva of Klein, TX; Susan Peter & husband Gary of Cypress, TX; David Baker & wife Jerri of Princeton, TX; and Brad Baker of Newton, KS; nine grandchildren, Scott, Sally, Brett, Christopher, Clinton, Travis, Adrianna, Ben, Wesley; and a brother, Jack Alexander of Henderson, TX. Sharron had an unwavering love of faith, family, & fellowship. She was a member of a Christian home fellowship throughout her life, and she found joy and comfort there. Sharron played the piano and organ for many years, and her love of music was passed down to her children and grandchildren. All family gatherings included singing around the piano. Those that spent time with Sharron likely heard about her grandchildren – she would excuse her bragging as “something that us grandmas get to do”. She always looked forward to the “grandkids’ weeks” each summer and the infamous scrapbooking sessions. One of Sharron’s hobbies was quilting, and she enjoyed her outings with the Quilters Guild of East Texas. All of her grandchildren have a keepsake quilt from “Grammie”. The memories of a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend are many and will live on in thoughts and hearts. Funeral services for Mrs. Baker will be held Tuesday, October 13th, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Crawford A. Crim Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. The family would like to welcome friends to a luncheon at the Henderson Civic Center (1500 Lake Forest Parkway) after the graveside ceremony. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr Daniel Lehane (Oncologist), Grace Care Northpointe, and A*Med Hospice Care.
