Mrs. Marilyn Phillips Vaught

Graveside services for Mrs. Marilyn Phillips Vaught, 85, of Mt. Enterprise will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Park with Rev. Joe Orr and Rev. Dick Phillips officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home in Henderson. The family requests that attendees use extra social precautions due to the current Covid spike. A register book will be available for friends to sign and pay their respects from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday, September 13, 2021 at the funeral home. Mrs. Vaught passed from this life September 12, 2021 in Garrison. She was born November 2, 1935 in Corrigan, Texas to the late Alden W. and Elsie (Hudson) Phillips. Mrs. Vaught was a life long resident of Mt. Enterprise. She enjoyed doing research on ancestry. Mrs. Vaught taught 2nd grade at Mt. Enterprise for twenty six years. Along with being a teacher, she was a excellent homemaker that was devoted to her family. She played the piano for the Methodist Church for 20 years before becoming a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Enterprise. She enjoyed history, especially the local history of Mt. Enterprise. Mrs. Vaught loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also a volunteer EMT with the Mt. Enterprise Volunteer Fire Department Ambulance Service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alden and Elsie Phillips; infant son, Darren Vaught; and uncles, Cecil Phillips, Chester Phillips, and Ira Phillips. Survivors include her husband, Tom Vaught of Mt. Enterprise; sons, Alan Vaught and wife Samantha of Mt. Enterprise, Lance Vaught of Mt. Enterprise, Van Vaught and wife Wyndi of Mt. Enterprise; grandchildren, Cody Vaught and wife Kaylie, Chance Vaught, Ashton Green and husband David, Jennifer Hand and Husband Wes, Cheyenne Doles and husband Justin, Savannah Barton and husband Will; great-grandchildren, Gentry and Grayson Hand, Halle and Camden Doles, Kinley and Jeremiah Barton, Everleigh Green; and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be Wes Hand, Justin Doles, Will Barton, Cody Vaught, Nick Gresham, and Johnathan Green. Honorary pallbearers will be Norris Langford, Phil Langford, and Alan Langford. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church of Mt.
