Mrs. Lynda Tillison Mason Jones

Graveside services for Mrs. Lynda Tillison Mason Jones, 82, of Henderson, TX will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Ebenezer Cemetery with Bro. Steven Oakes officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Sunday, February 23, at the funeral home. Lynda, passed from this life on February 16, 2025, in Carthage, TX. She was born October 31, 1942, in Henderson to the late Hayward Haskel and Lois (Franklin) Tillison and was a life-long resident of Henderson. Lynda devoted her working career to the citizens of Rusk County, first as secretary to Judge Darrell Hyatt and then as a deputy District Clerk at the Rusk County courthouse. She was a gifted pianist who loved to play the piano and spent many hours in cemeteries looking over tombstones for ancestry research. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Rusk County Historical Society, Cherokee National Historical Society Inc., United Daughters of the Confederacy, and the National Huguenot Society of Manequin Town Virginia. She took great joy in spending time with family and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Henderson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Sammy Tillison. Survivors include her husband Allen Ray Jones of Henderson, TX; children Maja Mason Steele of Minden, TX, and Thomas Theron Mason and wife Tonja of Bryan-College Station, TX; grandchildren Sarah Wilson, Rebekah Raney and husband Buck, and Megan Mason Nakamura and husband Akira; and great-grandchildren Addie and Brylee Wilson, and Carson Raney. She is also survived by her stepchildren Melinda Shackett and her children Joseph Shackett and Tiffany Maxwell and husband Justin, and Sharla LaConti and husband Charlie and their daughter Collette LaConti; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Clint Tillison, Ryan Riley, Charlie LaConti, Dodd Dorsey, Scott McCune, William Doerge, and Jason Curren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association at P.O.
