Mr. Kenneth "Buck" Moore

Mr. Kenneth “Buck” Moore, 83, of Henderson, passed from this life on October 13, 2023, at his residence surrounded by family. Mr. Moore was born September 1, 1940, at home in Laneville to the late B.J. and Winnie (Tucker) Moore and lived all of his life in Henderson. Buck was a mechanic and machinist for the majority of his career, working for White Auto Supply and Thompson Auto. He later owned and operated Eastside Auto Supply. Many will remember him as the long-time owner and operator of The Store & Moore. Buck was an avid fisherman in his younger years and enjoyed food and fellowship with family and friends. He spent many a time at the softball fields cheering on his girls and favorite Freewill church team. He was a family man that was always involved with his children’s and grandson’s activities, and he loved spending time with Deacon…Pop Pop was his best friend. Mr. Moore has also been a member of Calvary Baptist Church for many years and was a supporter of Full Armor Christian Academy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters Joe Ed Moore, Marie Bagley, Mary Nell Byrd, Rachel Buckley, Dawson Moore, and Benny Ray Moore. Survivors include his wife Patsy Moore to whom he would’ve been married for 62 years on October 27, 2023; daughters, Tami Moore and Vicki Moore Doerge; grandson and best friend, Deacon Doerge; granddaughter, Katie Spedowski; great-granddaughter, Kenlee Dickard; grandpups Rascal, G, and Max; his older brother, Iven Moore; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and The Store & Moore crew. The family would like to express their appreciation to special caregivers Jenni Chevallier and to Winnie from Hospice of East Texas. Private family graveside services will be held at Strong Cemetery under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. A register book will be available at the funeral home for friends and family to come by and sign and pay their respects. Pallbearers will be Brodrick Burks, Joe Moore, Chad Moore, Ronnie “Red” Burks, Shannon Doerge, Kenny Turner, Richard Wallace, Ed Faulkner, and Phil Stanley. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at 225 N.
