Mrs. Janice Faye Burkett

Funeral services for Mrs. Janice Faye Burkett, age 64, of Henderson, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at Church Fellowship International with Dr. Gaylan Claunch, Rev. Mike Eddy, Rev. Bobby Cook, Rev. Tommy Nunn, Rev. Billy Furgerson, and Rev. John Abby officiating. Interment will follow at Rusk County Memorial Gardens under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. A viewing will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at the church. Mrs. Jan Burkett passed away January 31, 2019, at her residence. She was born August 22, 1954, in Marlow, Oklahoma, to the late Billie Dean and Thayla Mae Wilson Graham. She was a pastor and evangelist's wife for 40 years and a co-founder of Church Fellowship International. Jan was so special and full of love and laughter. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, pastor and singer, songwriter, and musician on the piano, great actress, play writer, prayer warrior, seamstress and an awesome cook. She will be greatly missed. I love you Jan, and I will always love you! I will meet you in Heaven just inside the Pearly Gates of Heaven, your beloved husband and forever best friend! Mrs. Burkett was preceded in death by her parents, Billie Dean and Thayla Mae Graham; and two sisters. She is survived by her husband of 40 years and they have been together 44 years, Rev. Dr. Leland Burkett of Henderson; daughters, Faith Thomas and husband Churon of Longview, Janie Burkett of Henderson, Rebekah Ketchum and husband Jason of Henderson; sisters, Glenda Owen and husband Tommy of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Joyce Lantz and husband Dale of Blythe, California, Sherry Holeman and husband Randy of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Tommie Garcia and husband Ramero of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Micah Ketchum, Makayla Ketchum, Isaiah Williams; step-grandchildren, C.J. Thomas, Corey Thomas, and Ava Thomas; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and friends. Pallbearers will be Randy Holeman, Gordon Manning, James Burkett, Tim Dukes, Larry White, and David Shamburger. The family would like to say thank you to everyone for your love, prayers, and support and for everything you all have done to support them through these past difficult days and months and would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Tradition's Hospice for all their wonderful care.
