Dosia Faye Toon

Dosia Faye Toon, 87, of Henderson, passed away from this life into the prescence of her Lord and Savior on May 2, 2011 at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2011 at First Baptist Church Henderson with Bro. Don Edmiston officiating. Interment will be in Rusk County Memorial Gardens under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home in Henderson. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the funeral home. Dosia was born February 11, 1924 in Klondike, Texas and was one of seven children born to Lindsey Dale and Ola Mae Rainey. She was united in marriage to the love of her life James W. Toon on August 12, 1942. She was a long time and faithful member of First Baptist Church of Henderson. Dosia was an exceptional seamstress and loved sewing for the public as well as her family for many years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, called Mema by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Toon on July 24, 2005; her parents; and six siblings. She is survived by her children, Troy and LaNell Toon of Henderson, Mike and Delores Toon of Lake Cherokee, Jackie and Judy Toon of Henderson, Steve and Kathryn Toon of Kilgore, and Jeff and Dena Allen of Henderson; grandchildren, David Toon, JoEllen Graham, Kristi Boudreaux, Trent Toon, Scott Toon, Gregg Toon, Lindsey Monaghan, Clint Toon, Bradley Allen, and Leslie Allen; and fifteen great-grandchildren. Dosia was so proud of her ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one on the way. She treasured every moment with her family. Her humor and smile will be greatly missed by friends and family. Pallbearers will be David Toon, Trent Toon, Gregg Toon, Scott Toon, Brad Allen, Jackson Toon, Hunter Graham, and Joe Monaghan. Honorary pallbearer will be her grandson, Clint Toon of Germany. If preferred, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church at 207 W.
