Funeral services for Mrs. Dorotha Bazar, 80, of Henderson, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2011, in the chapel of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home with Bro. DeWayne Yates officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Cemetery under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home in Henderson. Family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m. on Monday, July 11, 2011, at the funeral home.Dorotha Don Allen Bazar was born on April 25, 1931, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to Don & Lucille Allen and died on July 8, 2011, at Marian Place Assisted Living in Carthage, Texas, after an extensive battle with Alzheimer's disease. She grew up in Oklahoma, and married J. J. (Junior) Bazar in 1948. They moved to Henderson in 1955 to begin the family business of White's Auto Store, eventually Western Auto, in downtown Henderson. Mrs. Bazar was a dedicated wife, wonderful mother, and fantastic grandmother. She was a vibrant, creative housewife who enjoyed cooking (especially fried chicken and peanut butter cookies), working in her yard, and decorating. Her home was sure to be adorned to the hilt at Christmas time, welcoming friends and family. Mrs. Bazar was a member of First Christian Church of Henderson, where she served in the choir and the Women's Guild, Henderson Woman's Forum, & the Gray Ladies at Henderson Memorial Hospital. She was known to her grandchildren and many in Henderson as BeBe. Mrs. Bazar was preceded in death by: parents, Don & Lucille Allen, and an infant daughter.Survivors include: husband, Junior Bazar; daughters, Vicki Johnson of Henderson, and husband, Chester, Sharon Spoon of Henderson, and husband, Rick, Robin Yeager of Houston and husband, Mike, & Dawn Carnline of Montgomery, Texas and husband, Marty; grandchildren, Corey Spoon of Jacksonville, Casi Dickerson of Henderson, Emily Shores of Houston, Courtney Ashmore of Henderson, Matthew Yeager of Washington DC, Dane Johnson of Oklahoma City, Christie Tomplait of Graham, Texas, Clint Carnline of Conroe, Texas, and Chisa Sherlock of Porter, Texas; & 17 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her son-in-laws, and grandsons, Corey and Matt.The family wishes to say a word of special thanks to Marian Place Assisted Living in Carthage and caregiver Judy Stallone.
