Funeral Services for Doris Mae Campbell Jordan, age 96 of Good Springs will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2025 at the chapel of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home with Bro. David Willis officiating. Interment will follow at Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 3, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Doris’ homegoing was January 1, 2025 and she was ready to see her Lord and Savior! She was born September 12, 1928 in New Salem to Cobb and Lillie Mae Campbell. She graduated from Henderson High School. She married Joe G. Jordan on October 21, 1946. They owned and operated Joe’s Feed and Fertilizer from 1971 until his death in 1975, when she took on full ownership and operation of the business. She was a long time and faithful member of Sardis Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, helped with VBS, sent cards for various occasions and diligently prayed for her church family. She loved working in her garden, canning and freezing the fruits of her labor. She always had an indoor cat that she loved and would always have a sweet treat prepared for any visitors that would stop by. In years gone by, many domino and cards games were played at her house by friends and family alike. She loved her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Joe Glenn Jordan, her daughter Sue Ramey Sons, her grandson Glenn Ramey, her sons-in-law Jerry Rasberry and Ronnie Ramey and her sister Eunice Walls. She suffered a lot of loss throughout her life but still demonstrated a strong faith in our Lord to get her through each obstacle. She is survived by her daughter, Sherrill Rasberry of Good Springs, grandchildren LaDonna and Charlie Lear of Henderson, Sherry and Randy Nichols of New Salem, Daniel Ramey, great-grandchildren Alyssa and Hunter Hudson with baby girl due June 2025, Jacob and Sarah Nichols, Caleb and Zoe Nichols, Braden Lear, D.J. and Abby Ramey, long time special friend, CH Penney and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her great-grandsons and close family friends, Mark Nichols and Bennie Whitworth. Honorary Pallbearers will be Harold Jacobs, John Paul Nicholas, Ken Evans, Jim Walls and Bubba Brandenburg.
