Mr. Curtis Cobb

Funeral services for Mr. Curtis Cobb, 67, of Mt. Enterprise, will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024, at First Baptist Church, Mt. Enterprise with Rev. Matt Korzeniewski and Rev. Joe Orr officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Hill Cemetery under the direction of Crawford - A. Crim Funeral Home of Henderson. Visitation will be from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., one hour before the service at the church. Mr. Cobb passed away Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2024 at his residence. He was born June 12, 1956 in Dallas, Tx to the late Bill and Clydene Cobb. Survivors include: his wife of 46 years, Kimberly Ann Cobb; son, Jeremy and wife Coco Cobb of Hallsville, and daughter Nikki and husband Chad Young of Spring Hill; Curtis was an amazing “Pops” to his 5 grandkids - Lillian Young, Asher Young, Karis Young, Sebastian Cobb, and Dylan Cobb; sisters, Janice Cobb and Beth Hayden of Desoto, brother & sister-in-law Keith & Gina Ritchie of McKinney, and sister-in-law Karen Ritchie of Boise, Idaho; nieces and nephews, Shaun Ritchie of McKinney, Lauren & husband Blake Bearden of McKinney, and Justin and wife Heather Hayden of Desoto. Pallbearers are Robert Kuykendall, Tommy Martin, Zach Mills, Charles Orr, Jimmy Owens, Gary Smith, and Cliff Weems. Honorary Pallbearers are The Llano hunting group - Curt Smith, Kyle Downs, Darin Anthony, and Fred Grindle. Through this life, Curtis built a legacy of hard work and reliability. On his 18th birthday, he began working for Texas Power & Light in Dallas, a company he would grow with throughout his entire career. Wanting to raise his family in the country of East Texas, Curtis moved his young family - without knowing anyone - to their new location. He continued his work with TP&L, which later became Texas Utilities, and retired from there after 42 years, having been his only place of employment. Curtis loved his family, deer hunting, raising cattle, and outside of church, he was rarely seen without a cap and/or camouflage! Curtis loved traveling to the mountains of Colorado and to the Texas Hill Country, and had countless trips there with Kim, his family, and his hunting buddies. Curtis had a hidden talent for landscape photography, and has an array of beautiful shots of those favorite places. Curtis was a loyal Texas Rangers fan, and their recent World Series Championship brought some happiness to his hard days of battling cancer. Curtis loved to worship and fellowship with his church family at First Baptist Church, Mt. Enterprise. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O.
