Funeral services for Clara Lynn (Davis) Schur, age 81, of Henderson, Texas, will be held at Bar None Cowboy Church at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 with Jason Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Rusk County Memorial Gardens cemetery under the direction of Crawford –A. Crim Funeral Home in Henderson, Texas. Clara Lynn Schur died June 4th, 2017 at Clairmont Nursing Home in Longview, Texas. She was born November 16th, 1935 in Henderson, Texas to the late Chester and Clara Flanagan Johnson. She was a loving housewife and a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a fabulous cook and amazing baker. Every child and grandchild requested a favorite meal and dessert in lieu of gifts for birthdays. One thing that almost everyone remembers about Lynn is her infectious laugh and irreverent sense of humor. She was quick to smile and a great comfort to those she loved. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Fred before he passed away. They drove to many locations across the U.S. in their 1964 GMC pickup truck. They especially loved their many trips to Seattle, Washington; Mesa Verde, Colorado; and the Grand Canyon. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until services at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Bar None Cowboy Church. Clara Lynn Schur was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Clara Johnson; husband, Fred Lee Schur; Bobby Lee Davis; son Thomas Edward Davis, brother Billy Earl Johnson, and sisters Millie Jean Spradley and Patricia Lindley. Lynn is survived by her children, Kenneth Davis of Henderson, Suzan Van Leeson of Pasadena, TX, Larry Davis and wife Sherri Barton Davis of Lake Cherokee, TX; brothers, Chester Johnson and wife Vicki of Henderson, Jack Johnson and wife Rita of Daytona, FL; grandchildren Rachel Zertuche, Kevin Davis, Chris Davis, Kelly Davis, Guy Van Leeson, Lauren Davis and Libby Davis; great-grandchildren Brittney Lee Isaac, Hunter Davis, Faith Davis, Kaylee Arnold, Tanner Davis, Tessa Davis, Lorenzo Zertuche, and Caden Zertuche. Pallbearers will be Humberto Zertuche, Eric Leuschner, Clayton Smith, Dillon Carpenter, Perry Penney, and Greg Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Braun, Neal Smith.
