Mr. Billy Don Jimmerson

Funeral services for Mr. Billy Don Jimmerson, 86, of Mt. Enterprise, will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, January 31st, 2024 at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Mt. Enterprise, Texas, with Pastor Pete Underwood officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Heights Cemetery, under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 12pm until 1:30pm on Wednesday, at the church. Mr. Jimmerson passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024 in Tyler. He was born on January 8, 1938, in Brachfield, Texas to Mr. Henry Marshall Jimmerson and Mrs. Claudie Lee Rushton. During his younger years, Billy Don served in the United States Army for two years where he received an Honorable Discharge after serving in Panama. He would marry his loving wife, Gayle Garrett, and the two would begin their lives together, proudly bringing into the world two sons. During his lifetime, Billy Don was a hardworking individual, retiring after 41 years of service to Cameron Iron as a heat treater. He was also a member of many organizations and would serve his community faithfully. Billy Don is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Claudie Jimmerson, his son, Keith Jimmerson, his nephew, Rusty Dunn and a great-niece, Casey Hooter. Left to cherish his legacy are his loving wife of 64 happy years, Gayle Jimmerson of Mt. Enterprise; son, Ricky Jimmerson and wife, Tracey of Brachfield; sister, RoseMary Grammer of Henderson; four grandchildren, Christopher Jimmerson and wife, Michelle of Carrabelle, Florida, Steven Pryor and wife, Kayla of Kingwood, Rikki Minter and husband, Keith of Cushing, and Taylor Freeman and husband, Tristan of Henderson; six great-grandchildren, Cassity Pryor, Johnathan Pryor, Kross Minter, Remi Minter, Kellen Minter and Elliyana Freeman; nephew, Danny Dunn of Henderson; two nieces, Linda Reneau of Henderson and Donna Warren and husband, Don of Elizabethtown, Kentucky and adopted daughter Lisa Castillo from Dothan Alabama along with a host of friends and extended family. Pallbearers for Mr. Jimmerson will be Tad Titlow, William Reneau, Danny Dunn, Keith Minter, Steven Pryor and Kross Minter. Honorary Pallbearers include Jody Creel, Kenneth Wilson, and Tristan Freeman.
