Mr. Anthony Thomas

Hugh "Anthony" Thomas completed his earthly journey on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at his home. Anthony was born on May 11, 1973 to Deborah Boren in Dallas, TX. He was a lifelong resident of Overton where he also attended school. He spent his professional career as a Union Sprinkler Fitter. On May 18, 2018 he married the love of his life Mandy James who was right by his side, every step of the way during his tough battle with cancer. One of his greatest passions was his guns. He also enjoyed teaching his girls and his grandkids how to shoot. Nothing was better than going to see Pawpaw to eat, play with guns and run around the pasture while waiting for a good meal. Anthony was known as a Grill Master- pork chops, steak and even gator, he would grill it and you'd find yourself coming back for seconds, sometimes even a third round. He enjoyed the simple things in life like sitting on the front porch with his family and friends or tending to his chickens. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Mandy; daughters- Taylor Thomas and husband Tony Gordon of Overton, Samantha Thomas of Overton, Amber Clifford and husband Cameron of New London, Chelsea McKeithen and husband Jackson of New London and Kaitlyn Best of Kilgore. Grandchildren- Jacob Martinez, Phynlie Gordon, Cash and Cutter Clifford and Payton and Morgan McKeithen. Mother- Deborah Boren and sister, Dhustie Zervakos and husband Kevin of Overton. As well as MANY aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and his two dogs, Brody and Lola Jean. Waiting at the pearly gates with open arms and great, big smiles was his sister, Dawne' Hendley, Grandparents, George and Robbie Boren and cousin Terry Boren. The immediate family held a private burial for Anthony. A memorial with extended family and friends will be held Saturday, Sept. 16, at 11:00 a.m., at the Overton Assembly of God, 501 E.
