Mrs. Ann McDaniel Harris

Funeral services for Mrs. Ann McDaniel Harris, 80, of Henderson, will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 6, 2024, in the chapel at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Mayhugh officiating. Interment will follow at Rusk County Memorial Gardens under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home of Henderson. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until service time on Saturday, at the funeral home. Mrs. Harris passed from this life on March 30, 2024, at a local assisted living facility. She was born January 17, 1944, in Dallas and has lived in Henderson for the last 53 years. Mrs. Harris devoted her life to the education of children. After her retirement, she served on the board of the Teacher Retirement Association and Teachers Credit Union. She was also a member and served as an officer for Delta Kappa Gamma. Ann volunteered by teaching at The Christian Women’s Job Corps and was instrumental in helping to establish the Tommy W. McDaniel Exhibit Hall at the Rusk County Expo Center. She was also an active member of First United Methodist Church where she participated in Chancel Choir and the Handbell Choir and was a member of the Lemons Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years and father of her children Tommy W. McDaniel; husband of 10 years Kimble Harris; and parents G.C. and Mary Weaver; and her step-grandson Aaron Foster. Survivors include her Son Kevin McDaniel and wife Melissa of Suwanee, GA, Daughter Kristi Rhodes and husband Brad of Surprise, AZ; Granddaughters Jordan Williams and husband Chance of Hoschton, GA, Loren Barajas and husband Eddie of Woodstock, GA, and Hope Rhodes of Surprise, AZ; Grandson Ty Rhodes of Surprise, AZ; Brother Buddy Weaver and wife Randi of Allen, TX; Sister Patsy Weaver Hazelton of Plano, TX; Step-daughters Sheri Spencer and husband Jeff, Kimberly Foster and husband Mark of Henderson, Step-grandchildren Shade Spencer and wife Mallory, Sutton Spencer, Sheridan Spencer, Mitch Foster, Neil Foster and wife Laura; Great Grandchildren Tatum Williams, Sadie Spencer, Sawyer Spencer, Layla Foster, Aynsley Foster, Cadyn Foster, and Wyatt Foster. Pallbearers will be Tommy Strong, Greg Gibson, John Henson, Johnny Foster, Foy Brown, Buzz Fullen, Mike Smith, and Jason Davis.
