Mrs. Ruby Doris Davis Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Doris Davis, 93, of Henderson, will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home with Michael Acres and David Rudd officiating. Interment will follow at Davis Cemetery under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at the funeral home. Mrs. Davis passed from this life on April 26, 2022. She was born on November 12, 1928 in Rusk County to the late Calvin Russell and Monnie Ruth Moore. Mrs. Davis worked for the Medical Surgical Clinic from 1966 – 1976, as well as for Pritchard Abbott from 1976 - 1992. Mrs. Davis was a volunteer for the Hospice Homeplace Store, Chamber of Commerce of Henderson, and the Henderson Memorial Hospital. She attended the South Main Church of Christ bible study and was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fonzo Davis; granddaughter Rita Davis; grandson Mahlon John Acres; and sister Louise Marshall. Survivors include her children, Russell Davis and wife Margaret of College Station and Arlene Davis Acres and husband Stephen of Henderson; grandchildren, Erin Holliday and husband Brinson of San Antonio, Katherine Davis of San Francisco, California, Meg Marvin and husband Grant of Austin, Dr. Matthew Acres and wife Rebekah of Henderson, and Michael Acres and wife Kelsie of Chandler; great-grandchildren, Caden and Karis Holliday, Leah and Kira Marvin, Mahlon and Davy Acres, and DeAndre and Adaline Acres, as well as sister Mary Forbus of Laneville. Pallbearers will be Dr. Matthew Acres, Brinson Holliday, Grant Marvin, Rick Fisher, Stephen Acres, and Darryl Fisher. Honorary Pallbearer will be Jerry Moore.
