Mrs. Patricia Ann Simmons

March 5, 1944 - February 25, 2022

Graveside services for Mrs. Patricia Ann Simmons, 77, of Henderson, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 28, 2022, at Zion Hill Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Simmons and Rev. Joel Cobbs officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Monday, at the cemetery. Mrs. Simmons passed from this life on February 25, 2022, at her residence. She was born March 5, 1944, in Lampasas and has lived in the East Texas area for over 60 years, more specifically in Henderson since 1973. Patricia had worked in a nursing home as well as the school cafeteria, however, she was truly a homemaker and wonderful mother. She loved fishing and spending time in the boat on the lake and playing 42 with family and friends. Mrs. Simmons was also a member of Grandview Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Sorrels; husband, George Simmons; daughter, Cindy Cobbs; sister, Barbara Ragon; and brother, Robert Sorrels. Survivors include her mother, Mable Badgley of Marshall; children, Carren Hopkins and husband David of Bryan/ College Station, Mike Young of Cameron, George Simmons and wife Toi of Kilgore, David Simmons of Henderson, Jody Simmons and wife Karen of Henderson, and Cristie Read of Henderson; grandchildren, Noble Simmons, Cody Hopkins, Krista Hesse, Dylan Simmons, Braden Read, Julie Cobbs, and Zach Cobbs; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Bob Sorrels, Helen Sirmans, Joyce Brown, and Debbie Jones; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
