Graveside services for Mrs. Maxine "Maxie" Davis, 67, of Mt. Enterprise, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Lyles-Sanders Cemetery with Jason Taylor officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. The family will receive friends before and after the service at the cemetery on Tuesday. Mrs. Davis passed from this life on March 3, 2022, at her residence. She was born September 24, 1954, in Henderson to the late Jack and Jeanne (Duzant) O'Neill. Maxie attended Carlisle High School and later worked for JRD Brass. She loved to cook and was the former owner of 4-Corners Mart and also owned and operated Maxey's Grill. She loved to feed cows and go to the river and fish. However, what Mrs. Davis loved the most was sitting on her front porch with the love of her life, Skeeter, watching the sunrises and sunsets. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening and feeding her birds. She loved nature, Elvis music, and flute music. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Patricia O'Neill and Jacque Clifton; brother, John David O'Neill; and 2 brothers-in-law, Rodger Davis and Gary Davis. Survivors include her loving husband of 32 years, Kenneth "Skeeter" Davis of Mt. Enterprise; children, Tricia O'Neill Pitts and husband Billy of the Brushy Community in Cherokee County, Elizabeth Reeves and husband Christopher of San Antonio, and John Delin O'Neill of Henderson; grandchildren, Samantha O'Neill Marshall of Troup, Brianna O'Neill of Henderson, Abbygale Reeves of San Antonio, and Dylan Reeves of San Antonio; sister, Lisa Osteen and husband Richard of Henderson; mother-in-law, Ethel Singleton Chireno; sister-in-law, Debrah Owen-Chireno and husband Jim; brother-in-law, Howard Davis and Angie King of Mt. Enterprise; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, family and friends. The family would like to give a special thank you to Angel Care Hospice for taking such wonderful care of Maxine. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Owens, Jeff House, Ricky Osteen, T.J. Gresham, and Tommy Davis. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.crawfordacrim.com.
