Mrs. Mamie Malone

Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie Malone, 93, of Henderson, will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, August 27, 2018, in the chapel at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home with Otis Amy, Donnie Powers, Dwain Knight, and Rev. Pat Shannon officiating. Interment will follow at Rusk County Memorial Gardens under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Malone passed from this life on August 25, 2018, at Hospice Homeplace in Tyler. She was born May 28, 1925, in Livingston to the late John J. and Mary (Macdowell) Simmons and had lived in Henderson for over 60 years. Mamie loved to cook for family and friends alike, and that love of cooking led her to a 49 year career with the Henderson Independent School District where she retired as manager of the High School cafeteria. In her spare time, Mamie loved to travel and enjoyed working in her yard. She was also a very active and proud member of West Main Baptist Church for over 60 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Foster Malone; sisters, Gladys and Barbara; brother, John Lloyd; and daughter-in-law, Sue Malone. Survivors include: sons, Kenneth Malone and John Malone; grandchildren, Brent Malone, Kevin Malone and wife Susan, and Suzette Ramos and husband Chris; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Eli, Jacob, Ryne, Patrick, and Lauren; daughter-in-law, Ronda Reynard; and her special friend, Joyce Jones. Pallbearers will be Bo Powers, John Stovall, Chris Ramos, Michael Perry, Tommy Freeman, Joel Hale, Jerry Malone, and Chad Boatwright. Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Malone's great-grandsons.
