Mrs. Kathleen Marie Strong Carpenter

August 27, 1937 - February 2, 2021

Graveside services for Mrs. Kathleen Marie Strong Carpenter, 83, of Arlington, formerly of Mt. Enterprise, will be at 4:00 p.m., Friday, Feb. 5, 2021 at Old Prospect Cemetery with Robert Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Crawford - A. Crim Funeral Home of Henderson. A register book will be available for friends and family to come pay their respects from 8 AM until 5 PM on Thursday, February 4, 2021, and on Friday, February 5, from 8 AM until 12 PM. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, masks or face coverings are strongly recommended, however not required, for the health and safety of all those in attendance for a visitation or service. Mrs. Carpenter was born Aug. 27, 1937 in Mt. Enterprise to the late Horace Clifford and Mallie Marie (Matlock) Strong. She was a homemaker, and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James Strong and David Strong; and son-in-law, Dr. Phil Denny. Survivors include: her husband of 64 years, Bryan Carpenter of Arlington; daughter, Lisa Denny of Kilgore; two brothers, Horace Strong and wife Maxine, and Byron Strong, both of Mt. Enterprise; three sisters, Linda Sparks of Nacogdoches, Dale Auxier and husband Gary of Mt. Enterprise, and Barbara Sue Russell and husband Howard Eugene of Mt. Enterprise; one grandson, David Ryan Denny of Kilgore; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the Old Prospect Cemetery, PO Box 362, Mt.
