Ms. Joyce Elaine "Pal" Bane

July 31, 1936 - March 23, 2022

Joyce “Pal” Bane, 85, of Laneville, Texas passed peacefully in her sleep on March 23, 2022, at Oakbrook Healthcare in Whitehouse, Texas. Joyce was born on July 31, 1936 in Jourdanton, Texas, and was retired from a life filled with farming, raising crops of all kinds, but especially delicious tomatoes on the A.D. Bane and A. J. Pruitt farms in Laneville. Joyce was a quiet and reserved person, delightful to be around, who graciously cared for her family. Known as “Pal”, she truly was a pal to those who knew her. She adored swaying in the breeze sitting on her front porch swing, and playing dominoes with family. She enjoyed a long peaceful life. She is preceded in death by her brother Dennis Bane and cousin, Buster Bane, her parents and grandparents. Survivors include: her aunt, Noma Pruitt of Laneville, Texas, her brothers, Frank Bane and Roy Bane, cousins: John Bane, Julie Welch, and Norman Bane, and numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews. A private family graveside service will be held at Bane Cemetery. Many thanks to all her care givers at Oakbrook Healthcare.
