Mr. Jerry Norman

Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Norman, 68, of Henderson, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 9, 2017, in the chapel at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Newton and Rev. George Conway officiating. Interment will follow at Rusk County Memorial Gardens under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Thursday, June 8, at the funeral home. Mr. Norman passed from this life on June 6, 2017, at ETMC Tyler. He was born August 8, 1948, in Henderson to Walter Norman and Dancle Norman Clark. Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army and later went on to a long career in construction, owning and operating Jerry Norman Construction. He married the love of his life, Freda Immel, on June 7, 1975, and the two spent the next 42 years side by side. Jerry was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Norman. Survivors include: wife, Freda Norman of Henderson; mother, Dancle Clark; sons, Jason Norman and wife Kerri and Phillip Norman and wife Tiffany, all of Henderson; brother, Wyatt Norman and wife Isela of Longview; sisters, Bette McKay and husband Danny of Kilgore, and Idell Hurley of Gilmer; and grandchildren, Jake Norman, Anna Norman, Hayden Avery, Walker Norman, and Cassidy Norman. Pallbearers will be Stephen Smith, Todd Liles, Jody Simmons, Will Sammons, Richie Spencer, and Shawn Partin. Honorary pallbearers will be David Jarrell, Don Boatwright, Norman Simmons, Jeff Harman, Barry Jackson, Bill Stroud, David Harris, and Justin Pirtle.
