Mr. James R. Hall

May 8, 1935 - September 1, 2018

Funeral services for Mr. James R. Hall, 83, of Laneville, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, in the chapel at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home with his nephew, Rev. Joe Orr officiating. Interment will follow at Rusk County Memorial Gardens under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Hall passed from this life on September 1, 2018, at Hospice Homeplace in Tyler. He was born May 8, 1935, in Wright City, Texas to the late David Wesley and Nora Mae McCameron Hall. He was a retired firefighter for the Dallas Fire Department where he was a driver engineer for twenty-two years, from February 1, 1963 to May 13, 1985. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Enterprise. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-four years, Lillian Hall; parents, David Wesley and Nora Mae Hall; and sister, Nathine Waldo. Survivors include: children, Beth Warren and husband Chris of Tyler, Jason Ray Hall and wife Keri of Canton; sister, Norma Jean Barrilleaux and husband Allen; two granddaughters, Ashli Moore, Kaitlin Hall; six grandsons, Jacob Ham, Brian Ham, Stephen Ham, Jared Hall, Christian Diosdado, Nick Diosdado; nine great-grandchildren, Gage, Mia, Sara Beth, Tyler, Colten, Hailee, Carson, Marli, Ryan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Pallbearers will be Jacob Ham, Brian Ham, Stephen Ham, Jared Hall, Christian Diosdado, and Nick Diosdado. Honorary pallbearers will be the Dallas Fire Department. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, TX 75701. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.crawfordacrim.com.
