Mrs. Johnston passed from this life on February 20, 2018, at ETMC in Tyler. She was born March 13, 1942, in Henderson to the late Ralph and Ruth (Posey) DeGilio and spent most of her life in Henderson before she moved to Rusk around 10 years ago. Dolores was a woman of many talents, perhaps none greater than being the best housewife and mother. She owned and operated a cake shop before joining her husband, Art, as a photographer. For many years the two worked side by side as Photos By Art captured countless images at local sporting events, schools, and other memorable life events. She had a servant's heart and genuinely loved everybody, and they loved her. Dolores and Art spent 5 years as missionaries and were foster parents to over 300 children, and she was a member of First Baptist Church of Henderson. Survivors include her husband Art Johnston, son Andy Johnston and wife Kathy, grandchildren John Weaver and wife Erin, and Kristina Bishop and husband Clay, all of Rusk, great-grandchildren Jordan, Jayanna, Jaycee, and Jaylee Bishop, Landen, Lilee, and Lanee Weaver, and Lindsey Fannin, her beloved Charlie, and a host of other family and friends. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.crawfordacrim.com.
