Graveside services for Mrs. Bonita “Bonnie” Mae Lees, 94, of Henderson, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at Rusk County Memorial Gardens with George Conway officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. The family received friends from 5:30-7:30 p.m. On Tuesday, February 26, at the funeral home. Mrs. Lees passed from this life on February 25, 2019, at Brookdale of Henderson. She was born March 19, 1924, in Adair, Oklahoma. Bonnie married Norman O. Lees on October 17, 1944, and throughout life together they traveled all over. She was a homemaker and spent 11 years delivering papers for the Henderson Daily News. She was always reading a book, however, she loved watching Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud as well as playing Dominos. Bonnie was a great host, always having something to eat at her house no matter what. She enjoyed playing, and winning, Bingo at Brookdale, and also attending church services there. She was preceded in death by her parents Nell Cox Tilley and J.C. Cox; husband of 56 years Norman O. Lees; son Gary R. Lees; brothers T.H. Cox and Charles Cox; and brother-in-law Jay Deaver. Survivors include her children Rodney Lees and wife LeeAnn, Rhonda Stanfield and husband Stephen, and Randy Lees and wife Mary Jo, all of Henderson; grandchildren Tasha Mims and husband Jason of Salado, Tiffany Reaves and husband Trevor of Henderson, Sean Stanfield and wife Tacie of Richardson, Josh Lees and wife Vivian of Wylie, Mallory Bennett and husband Matt of Henderson, Lacy Hale and husband Parker of Henderson, and Marissa Lees and fiancée Nick Russo of Lafayette, LA; great-grandchildren Keelie Stauffer and husband Lane, Keaton Mims, Trace Reaves, Addison Graham, Braxton Bennett, Taryn Reaves, Anna Kate Bennett, Kellen Hale, Nessa Stanfield, and Stevee Hale; and her first great-great-grandchild expected in August. Also surviving Bonnie is her sister Helen Deaver of Salt Lake City, UT; and a host of nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Mims, Trevor Reaves, Sean Stanfield, Josh Lees, Matt Bennett, Parker Hale, Nick Russo, Lane Stauffer, Keaton Mims, Trace Reaves, and Kellen Hale.
