Beatrice Gray Miller

Beatrice Gray Miller, age 83, a resident of Henderson, Texas, passed away on July 13, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 10, 1928 and was a native of Rusk County, Texas. Mrs. Miller was the wife of the late Bertram Edward Miller, Sr. She was also predeceased by her parents, Claude and Odelle McFadden Gray, and sisters, Mary Louise Adams and Opal Bieciuk.Mrs. Miller is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Denise Miller Dillard and Millicent Gray Miller Tennison and her husband, Johnny Tennison, of Eustace, Texas; two grandsons, Nicholas Reid Dillard and Todd Edward Dillard; and a granddaughter, Carli Gray Tennison; a brother, Claude Gray, Henderson; and a sister, Velta Gray Morris, Lancaster, SC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends she considered as her family.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Lakeview Baptist Church in Elderville with Rev. Ted White officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home in Henderson.Family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church.Mrs. Miller was a devoted Christian who loved her family and her church. She endeared herself to everyone and found many ways to be a blessing to others through her generosity and loving Christian spirit. She loved God's Word and had a generous nature as demonstrated by her consistent, loving ways. Mrs. Miller was a long time resident of DeSoto, Texas, and for many years was employed by the Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office, Forensics Division. Following retirement she has lived in the Oak Hill area of Rusk County and was an active, faithful member of Lakeview Baptist Church. Additionally, she enjoyed playing the game of Texas 42 and belonged to several clubs relating to this domino game.Pallbearers will be Earnest Williams, Johnny Tennison, Billy Zager, David Richardson, Nick Dillard, and Todd Dillard.If desired, in lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Building Fund of Lakeview Baptist Church, 10522 FM 2011, Longview, TX 75603-7273.Condolences may be made online at www.crawfordacrim.com.
