Mr. Albert Eugene "Gene" Combs

Funeral services for Mr. Albert Eugene "Gene" Combs, 80, of Henderson, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 9, 2021, in the chapel at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home with Jason Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at the funeral home. Mr. Combs passed away on April 7, 2021, at Autumn Leaves in Henderson. He was born June 26, 1940 in Oklahoma to the late Albert "Jack" Jennings and Annabelle (McCoy) Combs. He was the owner and operator of a logging company, Combs Enterprises, which he ran with his wife, Virginia "Granny Nell" Combs. He loved to work and also enjoyed going hunting. He was voted Logger of the Year twice and was a member of the Texas Logging Council. Mr. Combs was a member of Bar None Cowboy Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia "Granny Nell" Combs; parents, Albert and Annabelle Combs; brothers, Wayne Combs, Gary Dale Combs; and sister, Mary Linda Fannin. Survivors include his children, Alesia Combs of Henderson, Linda Coleman and husband Mike of Henderson, Gary Combs and wife Pamela of Henderson; grandchildren, Teris Butler and husband Drew, Meleaha Glaze and husband Dustin, Garrett Combs and wife Faith, Cannon Coleman and wife Spencer, Dylan Combs, Riley Combs, Lauren McCoy and husband Mitchell, Morgan Clifton; brother, Alfred Combs; sisters, Rachel Stone, JoAnn Pendleton; nine great grandchildren with one on the way; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and friends. Pallbearers will be Garrett Combs, Cannon Coleman, Dylan Combs, Dustin Glaze, Drew Butler, and Mike Coleman. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.crawfordacrim.com.
