Mr. William N. "Buddy" Carlile

Graveside services for Mr. William N. "Buddy" Carlile, 92, of Henderson, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023, at Spring Hill Cemetery in Morris County with Dwayne Higgins officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at the cemetery. The family will receive friends in Henderson from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, at the funeral home. Mr. Carlile passed from this life on April 25, 2023, at Pines Lodge Assisted Living surrounded by his family. He was born February 7, 1931, in Simms, Bowie County, Texas to the late Robert Lee and Martha (Burkhalter) Carlile. Buddy grew up in Naples and spent a big part of his life there. He was raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason in Belden Lodge #674 and was a Mason for 60 years. Mr. Carlile served his country in the United States Navy and was deployed to Korea during the Korean War. He later owned and operated his own business where he retired as an electrician and also did TV and appliance sales and repair. Buddy was a jack of all trades. He served as a Constable for Morris County, worked as an EMT, and was also a funeral director for Hanner Funeral Home in Naples for many years. He later moved to Ft. Worth and lived there for 28 years before spending the last 5 years in Henderson. Buddy was a gifted wood worker and could build anything including bird houses which he was known for. He also enjoyed dancing and was a big TCU fan. Mr. Carlile was a long-time member of the Baptist church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Katie Jo Carlile; the mother of his children Carrie M. Carlile; and brothers, Bobby Lee Carlile, Hugh B. Carlile, and Weldon Ray Carlile. Survivors include his sons, Bill Carlile and wife Nickie of Pittsburg, and Roger Carlile Sr. and wife Becky of Henderson; he was “Pops” and “Paw Paw” to Roger Carlile Jr. and wife Julie, Christal Burks and husband Brodrick, Buck Carlile and wife Jesseka Rae, Josh Carlile and wife Caitlin, and Travis Bailey Carlile and wife Olivia; great-grandchildren, Makayla Musselwhite, Cannon Carlile, Mady Carlile, Brooklynn Burks, Haden Carlile, Macie Carlile, Kamryn Carlile, Beau Burks, and Lincoln Carlile on the way; sister and brother, Mary Lou Martin of Canton, and Johnny Royce Carlile and wife Stephani of Grand Prairie; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and many friends. Pallbearers will be Buck Carlile, Roger Carlile Jr., Josh Carlile, Brodrick Burks, Cannon Carlile, Bailey Carlile, Roger Carlile Sr., and Bill Carlile.
