Mr. W.T. Castleberry

Graveside services with military honors for Mr. W. T. Castleberry, 84, of Kaufman, formerly of Henderson, will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Rev. Rhea Bullock officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. Following the service, the family will gather at St. Paul's Methodist Church in Henderson for lunch. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time on Saturday, April 18, at the cemetery. Mr. Castleberry passed from this life on April 9, 2026, at his residence in Kaufman. He was born January 27, 1942, in Beaumont to the late Bill and Maudie (Parker) Castleberry. W.T. spent most of his life in Henderson and Rusk County before moving to Kaufman in 2021. He graduated from Henderson High School in 1960 and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army National Guard. He married the love of his life, Kay Rogers, on June 22, 1963 and later went to work for Texas Utilities where he retired as warehouse supervisor. In his spare time, W.T. enjoyed being outdoors in the deer stand hunting or on the lake fishing, and he loved to travel. He was also a Master Mason where he was a member of Clinton Lodge #23 AF&AM, a Shriner with Sharon Shrine in Tyler, and was a 32-degree Scottish Rite Mason in the Valley of Waco. W.T. absolutely loved being around his grandchildren and his family and has been a member of First United Methodist Church in Kaufman since 2021. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Jarrod Thomas Castleberry, daughter Michelle Renee Castleberry, and his siblings Patricia McElroy, Laura Dopson, Richard Castleberry and Jesse Castleberry. Survivors include his wife of nearly 63 years Kay Castleberry of Kaufman; son Stephen Castleberry of Freeport; grandchildren Josh Castleberry, Evan Helams, Kaylyn Castleberry, and Kallee Castleberry; great-grandchildren Brooklyn Kay Castleberry and Conley Wade Castleberry; special cousin Paula Strength of New Braunfels; and several nieces and nephews as well as a host of other family and friends.
