Mr. Troy Rayburn Toon

Troy Rayburn Toon, 75, of Henderson, was born December 19,1942 in Cooper, Texas and went to be with his Lord and Savior November 18, 2018. Troy graduated from Henderson High School in 1961 and afterwards attended Kilgore College and graduated from East Texas State University with a Bachelors of Science degree. He obtained his Masters Degree in Educational Psychology with counselor’s certification from Steven F. Austin State University and advanced training in Air Conditioning technology. He taught industrial education in the Henderson Independent School District and was a vocational counselor at Kilgore College from 1969-1979. He was awarded Outstanding Young Educators award in the late 1960’s. He brokered Toon Realty from the early 1970’s to the late 1980’s. Troy owned and operated Toon Air, Inc. in Henderson for 32 years. Troy was a member of First Baptist Church Henderson for 54 years and served as a Deacon 46 of those years. He was a Master Mason for 33 years and 32nd Degree mason for 11years. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He married the love of his life and best friend, Reba LaNell Allen on August 14, 1965. They lived in Henderson all 53 years of their marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents J.W. Toon and Dosia Faye Toon and several aunts and uncles. Survivors include his wife, LaNell Toon; son, David Toon and wife Becki: daughter, Jo Ellen Graham, her husband Malcom Graham. His grandchildren include, Hunter Graham and wife Hannah, Macabe Graham, Jenna Green and husband Bret, and Jordan Toon; One great-grandchild Chandler Green. Brother, Mike Toon and wife Delores; brother, Jackie Toon and wife Judy; brother, Steve Toon and wife Kathryn; and sister, Dena Allen and husband Jeff, and loved by many more family members and friends. Funeral services for Mr.Toon, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Don Edmiston and Dr. David Higgs officiating. Interment will follow at Rusk County Memorial Gardens under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Hunter Graham, Macabe Graham, Bret Green, Charles Thomas, John Wright, and Richard Wallace. Honorary pallbearers will be the First Baptist Church Deacons and the First Baptist Church Adult 6 Men's Sunday School Class.
