Mrs. Tricia Seimears

Patricia “Tricia” Ann Seimears, 60, returned to her heavenly home on July 6, 2016, after a valiant battle with lung cancer. The day she was diagnosed, she commented that she would believe for healing but the worst thing that could happen was that she would finally see her Savior face to face. Tricia was born to A.B. and Helen Burns. After A.B.’s death, Leo Downs and Helen would eventually marry and Leo loved her and her three siblings, Mike, Leah and Rodney as his own. Her extended family have remained very close and is full of aunts and uncles and too many cousins to count. During any holiday, you can usually hear them laughing down Center Point Road in Tatum. A graduate of Tatum High School, Tricia’s loves included music, her days as a majorette and piling in the back of Gus Matthews' truck to get a Coke during band practice breaks. Her family also included a chosen church family as she was a committed partner of Fellowship of Love Outreach in Fort Worth, Texas. During any church event, you could usually find her in the kitchen serving food or doting on her beloved pastor, Stacey Fox. She has always been the brightest smile in the room and her career of customer service and human resources was perfect for her encouraging disposition. Her time with Excel, Alliance Data and CVS Health forged some precious friendships. Her biggest accomplishments in life focused on her two daughters, Karen and Brooke, as well as her four grandchildren, Madison, Kaitlyn, Colton and Traygan. Known as Grand, Aunt Tricia and Momma Tricia, to both family and friends, these relationships fueled her passion to fight until her very last breath. While living with her oldest daughter during her treatment, she was joined by her faithful sister, Leah, who assisted in caring for her from beginning to end. She was survived by her daughters, Karen Seimears and wife Tonya of Arlington and grandsons Colton and Traygan, Brooke Seimears and Mike Matthews of Waxahachie and granddaughters Madison and Kaitlyn as well as her siblings Leah Burns of Tatum, Rodney Henderson and wife Amy of Tatum and dearest Aunt Shirley Smith of Tatum. She told us she would go to heaven a little before us and make sure our rooms were ready as she has several nieces, nephews and cousins who she encouraged until the very end. She will join her father, A. B. Burns and mother Helen Downs, step father Leo Downs, brother and sister-in-law, Mike & Shawn Burns, uncle, Sherman Smith, niece, Micah-Shaye Fike, and grandmother, Dema Redmon who have made their journey already. Funeral services will be held at the Tatum United Methodist Church in Tatum, Texas, Saturday, July 9, 2016, at 11am with Pastor Stacey Fox and Jason Taylor presiding. Interment will follow at Harris Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Crawford - A. Crim Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, July 8, 2016 from 6-8pm at Crawford - A. Crim Funeral Home in Henderson, Texas. Pallbearers will be John Wood, Tyson Strong, Trevor Strong, Cameron Henderson, Chris Fox, and Samir Peterson. Honorary pallbearers will be Marc Amick, Mac Amick, Lynn Beall, Mike Prestridge, Kim Smith, J.R. Prestridge, Mike Matthews, and John Stewart.
