Mr. Randall Lee Rogers Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Randall Lee Rogers, Sr., 81, of Marshall, will be held at 11 am on Monday, January 18, 2016 in the chapel of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home with Rev. Carlton Burris officiating. Interment will follow at Harmony Hill Cemetery under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10 am until service time on Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Rogers passed from this life on January 15, 2016 at Trinity Mother Frances in Tyler. He was born October 19, 1934 to the late William and Leona Rogers and spent most of his life in East Texas. Randall attended Beckville schools and later worked for Texas Eastman. He then went on to own and operate a string of successful grocery stores, Rogers Grocery and Arp Supermarket. Randall enjoyed the cattle business and was a skilled 42 player. In his younger years, he coached little league baseball. Randall was a loving family man and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Marshall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Janell Rogers, son Randall Lee Rogers, Jr., and brother Nolan Willis. Survivors include: wife Katheryn Rogers of Marshall, sons David Rogers and wife Janell of Flint and Mark Rogers and wife Loreta of Tyler, daughter Angela "Kay" Noles and husband Pierre of Corpus Christi; step-children Renae Smith, Ricky Redding and wife Teri, and Rachelle McGrede and husband Ray, all of Marshall; grandchildren Jana Smith, Joni Wallace, Logan Rogers, and Kaylee Rogers; step-grandchildren Doug Smith, Jared Smith, Josh Redding, Ashton McGrede, and Levi McGrede; great-grandchildren Tori Aiken, Jaci Aiken, Savannah Wallace, and Finleigh Wallace; step-great-grandchildren Hunter Smith, Skylar Smith, and Cannon Redding; and great-great-grandson Carter Purselley. Pallbearers will be Jerry Berel, Matt Wallace, Pierre Noles, Doug Smith, Jared Smith, and Levi McGrede. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Jimerson, Ed Taylor, Euel Faulkner, George Jones, Leo Hampton, and Josh Redding. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund at 2408 W. Pinecrest Dr., Marshall, TX 75670 and/or the American Parkinson Disease Association at 135 Parkinson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305.
