Celebration of life services for Kameron Edward Smiley, 26, of Henderson will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 29, 2026 in the chapel of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home with Randy Gaut officiating under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 29, 2026 at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. Kameron passed away on June 25, 2026. He was born July 9, 1999, in Henderson to Donald Earl Smiley and Melody Stevens Smiley and was a lifelong resident of Henderson. Kameron worked as a medical technician for Sodalis Living in Longview, Texas. Kameron attended Henderson schools from kindergarten through high school, where he was an active student, athlete, and musician. He offered his skillset in football, basketball, and percussion before graduating with the Class of 2017. Kameron lived life with a spirit of adventure and a heart full of laughter. Whether he was hanging out with his family, waiting in a duck blind before sunrise, casting a line into the water in hopes of the next great catch, or with friends at a concert or music festival, he found joy in the moments that brought people together. He cherished the outdoors and the peace it offered. Music was another great love in his life. He found happiness in the energy and community of EDM shows and festivals, where the music, lights, and relationships created some of his fondest memories. The EDM scene sparked his interest in becoming a DJ and he began producing his own music under the name “Fracksl.” This was a major outlet for his creativity and a space he shined brightly with support from a close friend group he called “the neighborhood.” His favorite artists were Zeds Dead, whose music became part of the soundtrack of his life and the moments he shared with friends. Kameron also had a passion for laughter. Stand-up comedy was one of his favorite escapes, and he loved sharing jokes, funny stories, and unforgettable performances with those around him. His sense of humor made every gathering brighter and would light up any room. Kameron will be remembered for his heart of gold and a smile that truly lived up to his name—bright, genuine, and unforgettable. His kindness and warmth left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He loved fiercely, holding his family and friends close, and his loyalty and compassion defined who he was. Kameron brought light and joy into the lives of others, and his memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing that every sunrise on the front porch or in the duck blind, every quiet morning on the water, every shared laugh, and every favorite song will remind us of him. His memory will forever be carried with us, and he will be deeply missed. Kameron was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Benoit “Bunny” and Freddie Lee Stevens, Howard and Mary Burk, Earl and Peggy Smiley, and Joe Damian Sr. and Maria Santos Damian. Survivors include his parents, Melody Stevens Smiley and partner Ruben Zambrano of Missouri City, Donald Smiley and wife Jacki of Henderson; grandparents, Rex and Susan Stevens of New London, Richard and Latitia Smiley of Henderson, Helen Smiley of Henderson; siblings, Mackenzie Boughton, Grayson Nemeth, Karleigh Maxwell, Addison Pullen, all of Henderson; aunts, uncles, and cousins, Brandi Abercrombie and husband Jay of Henderson, Sassy Goodwin and husband Scott of Henderson, Lexi Abercrombie and partner Luke Lionberger of Houston, Livi Abercrombie of Longview, Greenlee Goodwin of Henderson, Cindy Truex and husband Denny of Longview, David Price and wife Rachel of Longview, Dawson Price, Petty Officer Third Class, U.S. Navy, serving aboard USS Abraham Lincoln out of Coronado, California; and a host of other family and friends.
