Mrs. Jo Marsh

Jo Nell Shepherd Marsh (DoDo), 91, of Henderson, passed from this life on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Henderson. Mrs. Marsh was born July 12, 1933, in Walters, OK to the late Elmer Shepherd and Grace (Childers) Shepherd. Jo graduated from Walters High School as Class Salutatorian. After high school, she married the love of her life, Billy Paul Marsh. They made their home in Houston, TX for 40 + years until his death in 1997. Mrs. Marsh was a personal secretary for the great Theodore & Caroline Weiss Law of Houston, TX for 42 years. After her retirement, Mrs. Marsh moved to Henderson in 2006 to be close to her only living relatives: her brother, sister-in-law, nephew and his wife, and great-nieces. In her spare time, she loved spending time with her fur babies, Shotzie, Poppi, and Sassy, who were her life. She enjoyed and loved watching sports, especially the Houston Astros, and was a fan of the Oklahoma Sooners. She loved her little family and supported everything they did. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Billy P. Marsh, brothers Tommy and Jimmie Paul, sister-in-law Jutta Shepherd, and great-niece Addison Shepherd. Survivors include: nephew Thomas Shepherd and wife Christy, great-niece Tori Foster and husband Walker, and great-grandniece Blakely. Pallbearers are Jeff Beall, Walker Foster, Thomas Shepherd, George Winn, Timmy May, and Joel Hardy. Honorary Pallbearers are Richard Pinkerton and Ward Pendleton. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2024 at Crawford – A. Crim Funeral Home chapel with Rev. George Conway officiating. Interment will follow at Rusk County Memorial Gardens under the direction of Crawford – A. Crim Funeral Home of Henderson. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Monday, Sept. 9, 2024 at the funeral home.
