Mrs. Jean Tippitt

Jean Tippitt, 84 of Henderson went to be with our Lord on May 26, 2014. She was born July 21, 1929 in Ohio where she spent her childhood, before moving to Texas with her family at the age of 17. Jean graduated from New London High School in 1947 and completed a post-graduate course in bookkeeping. Jean married Bobby Shelton Tippitt in 1948, and together they had three children. She worked as a bookkeeper from 1961 until she retired in 1994. Jean is survived by her loving children, son, Bobby Tippitt and wife Kathy, Gladewater, TX; daughters, Nancy Tippitt, Kingwood, TX; Brenda Davis and husband Randy, Baytown, TX; two granddaughters, Cathy Jo Davis, Baytown, TX and Wendy Crouse and husband Jason, Mont Belvieu, TX; one grandson, Bobby S.Tippitt and wife Andrea, Tyler, TX; one great-granddaughter, Olivia Crouse and a great-grandson due to arrive in August, both of Mont Belvieu, TX. Jean is also survived by three brothers, William A. Roberts and wife Arlene, Northfield, OH; Darrell D. Roberts and wife Mary, Greenwich, OH; Bernard Roberts and wife Nina, Live Oak, FL; three sisters, Nadine Patterson, Rootstown, OH; Mary Andrews, Montgomery, TX; Donna Hamlin, Mantua, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby S. Tippitt (1960); parents, Dale A. and Alberta M. Roberts, Northfield, OH; and one brother, Gale A. Roberts, San Diego, CA. Visitation is scheduled from 6-8 p.m., Friday, May 30, 2014 at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home in Henderson with services in the chapel at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 31, 2014 with Rev. Billy Paul Cain officiating. Interment will follow at Rusk County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be son-in-law, Randy Davis; nephews, Doug Tippitt and Lance Tippitt together with treasured friends, Russell Hammett, Jimmy Skinner and Robby Davis.
