Mrs. Fannie Aileen Green

Funeral services for Mrs. Fannie Aileen Green, 93, of Henderson, will be held at 10 am Friday, April 7, 2023 in the chapel of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home with Rev. Randall Morris and Rev. Bruce Richmond officiating. Interment will follow at Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at the funeral home. Mrs. Green passed away April 4, 2023 in Tyler. She was born January 13, 1930 in Rusk County to George Washington and Myrtie Bell (Chandler) Dukes and was a life long resident of Rusk County. On November 12, 1952, she married the love of her life, Billy Green, and were happily married for 44 years. She began her career at Rusk County Electric Coop in September of 1947 and worked there as a Office Supervisor for 48 years until her retirement in September of 1995. She was a member of the Women's Forum in Henderson. Mrs. Green loved to travel, especially with the Citizens National Bank Travel Group. She enjoyed doing floral arrangements for Goodsprings Methodist Church and for Duncan Cemetery. Mrs. Green was affectionately known as "Grannie Fannie" to both family and friends alike and she was always the boss. She was a lifetime member of Goodsprings Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Myrtie Bell Dukes; husband of 44 years, Billy Green; sister, Evelyn Ashby; and brother-in-law, Lee Ashby Jr. Survivors include her nephews and nieces, who were like her children, Charles Lee Ashby of Goodsprings, Chase Ashby and wife Krystal of Troup, Alesha Richmond and husband Brandon of Goodsprings, Kalynn Giffin, Kynlee Ashby, Brayden Richmond, Carter Richmond; special friends, Tommy Strong, Betty Scarborough, Jessie Barnes, Tammy Turner, Rosalee Burns; and a host of other friends. Pallbearers will be Tommy Strong, Terry Nicholas, Carson Nicholas, Mark Nichols, Bobby Davila, and Harold Hawkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Brayden Richmond and Jerry Smith.
