Mrs. Betty Rambin

Betty Sue Rambin passed away from a lengthy illness on June 14, 2015. She was born on September 8, 1925 in Rusk County, Texas to parents Wylie Wade and Norma Lee Watson Hampton. She was a lifelong resident of Henderson, Texas and graduated from Henderson High School in 1942. Betty married Ollie Robert Rambin in 1947. Together they raised two sons, both from previous marriages. She was preceded in death by her husband Ollie Rambin, stepson Ronnie Rambin, parents Wylie and Norma Lee Hampton, brother George Lloyd Hampton, two sisters Elizabeth Hampton Lee and Alma Lucille Hampton, and grandson David Pierson. Betty was a faithful member of First Christian Church in Henderson where she and her late husband were tireless workers for the Lord. She retired from Leisure Lodge Nursing Home as a dietary supervisor in 1986. She loved to cook and took special care to always prepare everyone's favorite dish for the holidays. Betty lived for the past 10 years at the Chalice Apartments where she made many wonderful friends. Betty was loved and cherished by all who knew her, and her memory will stay alive within us. She is survived by her son James Harry Pierson and his wife Ina, grandsons James Pierson, Jr. and his wife Nelda and Ollie Pierson and his wife Keila, granddaughters Robin Davis and her husband Gaylon, Raven Brown and Wren Wood and her husband Michael, as well as nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews including Kathy Hampton Buckner and her husband Kerry and Joy Hampton Freeman and her husband Jeff. Pallbearers include Stephen Lee, Scott Lee, Kristopher Buckner, Jim Taylor, Don Thompson, and Richard Thornton. Honorary pallbearers will be the residents of The Chalice Apartments. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 from 6:00-7:30 pm at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 in the chapel of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home with Rev. John Cunyus officiating. Interment will follow at Rusk County Memorial Gardens under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Christian Church at 306 N.
