Mrs. Barbara Cadenhead

Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Cadenhead, 85, of Henderson, Texas, will be Monday, August 26, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home with Kevin Plaster officiating. Interment will follow at Strong Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m.- 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at Crawford A. Crim Funeral Home. Barbara passed away on August 21, 2024. She was born on January 27, 1939 in Dallas, TX. Barbara was a gifted artist and photographer. Her love of children led her to work/volunteer at First Baptist Church of Henderson Children’s Ministry, and was a long time member of First Baptist Church. Barbara, also known as Memi, was a woman whose presence filled the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was selfless, loving, loyal, joyful, and brought laughter to every room she was in. Above all else, family was what she treasured most. Barbara had a unique ability to be fully present with each person and make them feel like the most special person. To her family, she was more than just a wife, mother or grandmother – she was a source of endless love and encouragement. Barbara was a devoted wife to F.B. “Ben” Cadenhead for 46 wonderful years, and cherished mother to Debra Crawford of Henderson, Joe Bob McCracken Jr and wife Sara Beth of Whitehouse, Cristi McCracken of Overland Park, Kansas, Bret Cadenhead and wife Rhonda of Buna, Susan Bradley and husband Kent of Henderson, sister to Jerry McCarley and wife Barbara of Nashville, Tennessee; grandmother to Crystal and Mark Bird of Mount Enterprise, Casie and David Summers of Cypress, Allie McCracken of Dallas, Grace McCracken of Whitehouse, Adam Cadenhead of Austin, Clay Cadenhead of Buna, Sydney Bradley, Morgan Bradley and Peyton Bradley of Henderson, and great grandchildren Crawford, Chandler, and Castle Bird, Mary, Catherine and Abigail Summers. Preceded in death are her father and mother, C.A. and Allie Dell McCarley. Pallbearers will be Adam Cadenhead, Clay Cadenhead, David Summers, Mark Bird, Kent Bradley and Lan Rainey.
