Mrs. Pauline Propes

Graveside services will be held at 4 pm Thursday, September 19, 2013 for Pauline Elizabeth Coolidge Propes, 90, of White Oak, Texas, formerly of Henderson, Texas at Lakewood Memorial Park. Interment will follow under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:30-3:30 pm at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. Pauline Propes went to her heavenly home on September 17, 2013 after a long battle with COPD and other health issues. She was born on July 31, 1923 in Cleburne, Texas to Sudie Dunn Coolidge and Edward Monroe Coolidge. She lived most of her life in her favorite town, Henderson, Texas. She was a retiree from General Telephone Company where she had worked for 25 years. Pauline was an active charter member of South Main Church of Christ for many years and most recently was a member of Pine Tree Church of Christ. Pauline was a 60+ year member of Beta Sigma Phi and held many offices. Some of her dearest friends were her Sorority Sisters. A proud graduate of Henderson High School, class of 1941, she thoroughly enjoyed the "Club 41" meetings. She loved to sew and was well known for the clothes she made her two daughters as they were growing up. She also enjoyed crocheting and made many beautiful gifts for her family. An avid reader, she even listened to books on tape when her eyesight failed due to macular degeneration. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Paula Jean Hale and husband, Jack of White Oak, TX and Pamela Ann Dean of Richardson. She was known as Gigi to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Jarrett M. Hale and wife Cynthia of Rockwall, TX; Jeffrey T. Hale and wife Marsha, Casey, Kathryn, and Cody Jack Hale of Dallas; Justin P. Hale and wife Robin, Shaylee, Justin Cole and Jax Hale of Vidor; Olivia Hale of White Oak, and Jane Hale of East Mountain; and Mary Elizabeth Dean of Richardson. Also surviving her are sister, Mary Nelle Ashmore of Whitney, TX; a niece, Amee Ashmore Edgar and husband Tommy; and a nephew, Dave Ashmore, all of Whitney, TX; great-nephew, Clint Edgar, and wife Stephanie of Austin, TX; and great-niece, April Ashmore Daily, and husband, Robert of Temple, TX. The graveside service will be conducted by John Thompson of Holly Lake, for minister of South Main Church of Christ. Pallbearers will be Dave Ashmore, Tommy Edgar, Jack Hale, Jarrett Hale, Jeffrey Hale, and Justin Hale. The family wishes to thank the nurses and aides who were so kind to her at Highland Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Southern Care Hospice. We will never forget the care they gave to Pauline.
