William C. 'Sonny' Rives
August 16, 1932 - March 11, 2012

Funeral services for Mr. William C. 'Sonny' Rives, 79, of San Antonio, formerly of Henderson, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in the chapel of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home in Henderson.

Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 13 at the funeral home.

Mr. Rives passed away March 11, 2012 in San Antonio. He was born August 16, 1932 in Rusk County to the late Henry and Pauline Allen Rives, and lived most of his life in San Antonio. Mr. Rives was a veteran of the Korean War and retired from Kelly Air Force Base in 1993 after thirty-five years of service. He was a member of Medical Center Baptist Church in San Antonio.

Survivors include: wife, Elizabeth Young Rives of San Antonio; sons, Scott Rives and wife Kathy of Dallas, GA, Greg Rives of San Antonio, and Jeff Rives of San Antonio; grandchildren, Nicole Rives, Christy Rives, Amber Roberts and husband Owen, and Steven Doll; and great-grandchildren, Austin and Kaitlyn Roberts.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Young, James Young, Mike Young, Jackie Young, Bub Rives, and Kenny Mitchell.
