Funeral services for Ethel Patterson, 90, of Kingwood, formerly of Henderson, will be held at 2 p.m.Friday, July 30, 2010 at Blossom Hill Methodist Church in Pine Hill with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Bridges Cemetery under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home in Henderson.

Ethel Patterson went to be with our Lord on July 26, 2010 after a brief illness. Ethel Ward Snelgrove was born on October 13, 1919 in Chapman Community, Rusk County Texas to J. B. Snelgrove and Georgia Waldrop Snelgrove. She grew up around Henderson, Texas where she met and married Aubrey Basil Patterson on September 21, 1940. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Lufkin, Texas. She had been living in the Kingwood community for the last 6 years where she attended Second Baptist Church, North Campus.

Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Aubrey B. Patterson.
Survivors include: daughters, Kay Thanisch and her husband Gordon Thanisch of Whitehouse, TX and Jan Frazier and her husband Mike Frazier of Kingwood, TX, five grandchildren, Lin Roberts of Arlington, TX, Scott Thanisch of Keller, TX, Melissa Mutchler of Arlington, TX., Whitney Andersen of New Braunfels, TX., and Brent Frazier of Kingwood, TX., 13 great grandchildren: Mackenzie Andersen, Frode Andersen, Soren Andersen, Ethan Mutchler, Ezra Mutchler, Chase Roberts, Ryan Roberts, Aubrey Roberts, Cooper Thanisch, Darby Thanisch, Grayson Thanisch and Justus Thanisch.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2010 from 6pm until 8pm at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Hwy. 59 N. Kingwood, TX, 77339.

Pallbearers will be Scott Thanisch, Brent Frazier, Chase Roberts, Ryan Roberts, Jeff Mutchler and Burney Andersen.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Eva Weatherspoon, Bessie Jones and Jacqueline Evans for their care and special attention over the past 2 years and an additional thanks to the staff at Kingwood Hospital for their care during her illness.
